The Challenge

Where they started

Expansion into new markets created an immediate need for reliable financial processes. The Lithuanian and Romanian operations had to support local activity while remaining aligned with the wider organisation's governance, reporting and control requirements. Finance teams needed a platform that could accommodate different entities and country requirements without creating disconnected systems.

Renewable energy investment added another layer of complexity. Project-based development and long-lived infrastructure assets meant transaction processing had to connect with project accounting, fixed-asset management and cash visibility. Information generated in one area needed to support decisions and reporting elsewhere in finance.

The scope also extended across seven Oracle Fusion Cloud application areas. General Ledger, Tax, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Projects each serve a different purpose, but the value of the programme depended on these capabilities working together. Configuration decisions therefore had to take account of shared structures, data and processes rather than treating every module as an isolated implementation.

The two-country rollout required coordination across business and technology stakeholders, local requirements and a fixed go-live plan. After production began, the organisation also needed responsive support for questions, emerging requirements and practical issues arising from live transactions.

The Approach

How APPSolve delivered it

  1. 1

APPSolve implemented Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP for the Lithuanian and Romanian operations. The solution brought accounting, transaction processing, asset management, cash and project functionality into one cloud platform, helping the two operations establish a connected finance environment.

  2. 2

Implementing the modules as one programme allowed the design to address the links between financial processes. Transactions could be considered in the context of accounting, tax, projects, assets and cash rather than being handled through separate applications. The approach also helped position the two new country operations within the organisation's wider Oracle Fusion landscape.

  3. 3

APPSolve combined implementation capability with active management engagement. The client had access to specialist resources and a clear route for escalation and advice. This model remained in place after go-live, allowing the team to respond to ad-hoc requests without rebuilding knowledge of the environment.

Implementation Highlights

What defined this engagement

The programme delivered Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP across two European markets and reached production go-live in July 2024. Coordinating Lithuania and Romania within one rollout required the project to balance country-specific requirements with a consistent finance model for the wider organisation.

Seven application areas were included in the implementation: General Ledger, Tax, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Projects. This broad scope created an end-to-end platform covering the key finance processes needed by the new operations, rather than introducing a limited accounting solution that would require separate systems for assets, cash or projects.

The project also established continuity beyond the implementation milestone. APPSolve remained actively involved after go-live, providing access to resources already familiar with the solution and the operating context. This reduced the handover gap that can occur when implementation and support are delivered by different teams, while positioning APPSolve to respond to unplanned requests and provide advice as practical requirements developed.

The Results

What changed

Two-country go-live

Lithuania and Romania launched on a common Oracle Fusion platform in July 2024.

End-to-end finance platform

General Ledger, Tax, Payables, Receivables, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Projects unified.

Stable post-go-live support

Continued APPSolve involvement reduced the handover gap into operations.

Both operations gained access to an integrated set of finance and project applications covering accounting, tax, supplier and customer processing, fixed assets, cash management and project-related requirements.

The rollout gave the organisation a common cloud platform for both markets. Finance teams could work within one Oracle environment while supporting the transactional, asset and project needs of the growing renewable energy business.

APPSolve's continued involvement provided stability as the implementation moved into operational use. The organisation retained access to experienced resources, responsive assistance and active management engagement, while the support team remained familiar with the decisions and configuration behind the country rollout.
